Stavropol policemen reveal no explosives in bomb-like object

On August 28, in Stavropol, a suspicious bomb-like object was found at the Upper Market. According to the law enforcement bodies, no explosives have been detected in it.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening of August 28, it was reported that a bomb was planted near the Upper Market in the centre of Stavropol. The police evacuated people from nearby buildings and cordoned off the street. Dog specialists called to the place of emergency found a suspicious object at the entrance to the police station located near the Upper Market. The suspicious object was sent for examination.

The suspicious object was planted at a wheel of a foreign-made car with Stavropol state registration number parked in the parking lot. Combat engineers took it away for examination in a special container; however, experts detected no explosives in it, the State TV and Radio Company (STRC) "Stavropol" reports with reference to the law enforcement bodies.

On August 28, it was also reported that the building of the railway station in Volgograd was cordoned off by power agents, because of an anonymous message about an explosive device. No bomb was found; and the station was reopened after inspection. Besides, according to eyewitnesses, the staff and passengers were evacuated from the main buildings of the bus and railway stations in Rostov-on-Don. After the check the stations resumed work.
