SPCh: over 1000 Russian servicemen sent from Rostov Region to Ukraine
On August 13, more than a thousand soldiers of the Russian Army were sent to the territory of Ukraine. They were announced that they were going to carry out a combat mission; and those who refused would be criminally prosecuted, said Sergey Krivenko and Ella Polyakova, members of the Russian Presidential Council for Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (known as SPCh), referring to the information received from the mother of one of the lost contract soldiers.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 25, Sergey Krivenko and Ella Polyakova, members of the Council under the Russian President on Civil Society Development and Human Rights (known as SPCh), appealed to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) asking to check the information about the death of nine contractors of the 18th Motorised Brigade in the firing range in the Rostov Region.
According to the mother of the lost soldier, her son, born in 1993, in June 2014 signed a contract and took his service in the 18th Separate Motor-Rifle Brigade deployed in Chechnya. This August, he was sent to a camp located in the Rostov Region.
On August 13, soldiers were told that they were sent to carry out a combat mission, the website of the project named "RealArmy" quotes the information contained in the statement of the above SPCh members.
According to the data contained in the statement, the military grouping consisted of more than 1000 servicemen. At night on August 13, the column arrived in the territory of Ukraine and on August 13 sat in the territory of some factory in the town of Snezhnoe, Donetsk Region. After some time, the column was shelled by a "Grad" installation. By the night, after loading their lost and wounded comrades onto the remaining vehicles, the survived soldiers returned to the Russian territory.
According to comrades-in-arms of the lost contract soldier, the number of killed servicemen was over a hundred; and more than 300 others were wounded, the statement said.
The members of the SPCh ask the Military Investigating Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) to check the above information. All the data about the lost contract soldier were presented to the ICRF, says the statement posted on the website of the SPCh.
