Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's defence seeks to postpone trial till September 2015

Advocates of Chechen native Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is accused by the American authorities of organizing the terror act during the marathon in Boston in 2013, have filed a motion to postpone the beginning of the trial in the case until next year. The defenders claim they have not enough time to get prepared for the trial, the beginning of which is scheduled for November 3.

According to investigators, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother Tamerlan, who was killed during the detention, organized the terror act during the Boston Marathon held on April 15, 2013. Then, the explosion killed three persons and injured 282 others. Public prosecutors demand to sentence Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death penalty, while the defendant pleads not guilty.

In the formal motion filed to the Boston Federal Court on August 29, the defenders of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev ask the Court to postpone the beginning of the trial at least until September 15, 2015, the "Gazeta.ru" reports with reference to the "NBC".

"For any kind of a fair trial, it is vital that the both sides and not just the government get sufficient time to find and present all evidences relevant to the case," the "ITAR-TASS" quotes the motion filed by the Tsarnaev's defence.
