Governor of Rostov Region announces closure of refugee centres

On August 29, Vasily Golubev, the Governor of the Rostov Region, announced that all field temporary accommodation centres (TACs) for Ukrainian refugees would be closed during a week. The TACs are to be closed because of bad weather conditions in the Rostov Region. The authorities plan to transfer refugees to stationary accommodation centres. At present, according to the Governor of the Rostov Region, 1350 refugees still stay at the field TACs.

Vasily Golubev has reported on continuing activities to send refugees to other regions of Russia. At present, the Ukrainian refugees were accommodated by more than 79 Russian subjects.

In total, 55,598 Ukrainian citizens stay in the Rostov Region, and most of them, 51,240 people are accommodated by their relatives and friends. Other 3000 people stay at the stationary TACs (hostels, resorts, and sanatoria), the "Novaya Gazeta" reported on August 30.
