Sixty three Ukrainian soldiers who crossed Russian-Ukrainian border sent home

On August 31, Russia returned to the Ukrainian side the soldiers, who on August 27 crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border and entered the territory of the Rostov Region, stated Major-General Alexei Ragozin, Deputy Commander of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 27, according to the Russian FSB Department for the Rostov Region, 62 Ukrainian soldiers sought refuge in Russia. On August 29, according to the Border Guard Service of the Russian FSB, two other Ukrainian military men crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border in the Matveyevo-Kurgan District of the Rostov Region and asked for a temporary refuge in Russia.

The Ukrainian side associates the return of the Ukrainian military men with the fact that Russian paratroopers were sent home. "On August 30, at about 9:00 p.m., at the checkpoint 'Goptovka' of the Kharkov Region, the Ukrainian side returned to the Russian side nine paratroopers of the Russian Armed Forces, who had been detained in the territory of Ukraine," announced the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) of Ukraine. Then, today, "at 3:00 a.m., Russian border guards sent to Ukraine 63 soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU)," stated the website of the NSDC.
