Kalmyk authorities to reward teachers of Kalmyk language
Teachers of Kalmyk language and students who are learning Kalmyk language will receive cash rewards. The appropriate decree was issued by Alexei Orlov, the acting head of Kalmykia, the press service of the Kalmyk leader reports.
Kalmyk language belongs to the family of Mongolian languages. It is spoken in the Republic of Kalmykia, partly in the Astrakhan and Rostov Regions, the Stavropol Territory, and in Kyrgyzstan.
Cash reward in the amount of 15,000 roubles will be paid as encouragement allowance to each young teacher and a teacher of Kalmyk language and literature of the state educational institutions in the region and of the municipal educational institutions. The teachers are to receive the above amount annually during three years, starting from January 1, 2015.
