Militant suspected of judge murder killed in Dagestan

A suspected militant was killed in the course of a special operation conducted in the village of Kichi-Gamri of the Sergokala District of Dagestan. The man was an active member of the armed underground, and he was involved in the assassination of a judge, the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) of the Russian Federation reports.

The suspected militant opened fire on law enforcers, and he was killed by return fire.

"In the village of Kichi-Gamri, law enforcers neutralized an active member of the 'Izberbash' criminal grouping, who was involved in the assassination of a judge," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the NAC as stating.

According to a source in the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan, the killed man was identified as Murad Gadjiev, who was suspected in the assassination of Federal Judge Akhmed Radjabov committed in March 2013 in Izberbash, the "Interfax" reports.

On March 9, Akhmed Radjabov was killed in Izberbash near his home. Investigators associated the murder of Akhmed Radjabov with his professional activities and stated that the assassinators were identified. There were three of them, and on May 10, one of the suspects was shot and killed during a shootout with law enforcers.
