"Kommersant": one of those killed in Khasavyurt was incorrectly identified

One of the men killed at night on August 6 in Khasavyurt was initially identified incorrectly. Now, investigators found that not Ruslan Magomedov but Eldar Khaidarbiev was killed, the "Kommersant" reports. Earlier, Khaidarbiev was declared killed in a special operation on August 22.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to power agents, an armed skirmish burst out after policemen tried to stop a car with militants to check documents. As a result, two men were killed and preliminarily identified as local militants. Later, the Russia's National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) announced their names – Ruslan Magomedov and Magomed Gaziev.

One of the men had a passport in the name of Ruslan Magomedov; however, as investigators found later, it was not his passport. The car was bought by Magomedov, suspected of aiding militants, and the second casualty was Eldar Khaidarbiev, 27, a resident of Khasavyurt, the "Kommersant" quotes its source from law enforcement bodies.

Another alleged militant named Islam Muradov manage to escape, law enforcers believe.

According to law enforcers, Magomed Gaziev, 30, was a member of the "Tsumadin" militant grouping, while Khaidarbiev was first a member of the "Aukh" grouping that operating in the territory of the Khasavyurt District, and recently moved to the "Khasavyurt" one.
