NAC: two men killed today in Dagestan were militants
As reported by the Russia's National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the two persons killed on Thursday, September 11, during an armed clash in the Tabasaran District of Dagestan, were involved in the armed underground.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced on Thursday around the perimeter of the Tabasaran District. According to a source in law enforcement bodies of Dagestan, two men were killed during an armed clash.
In the mountainous and forested area near the villages of Uzul and Huzhni, two members of the armed underground were found, who opened fire on law enforcers, tried to escape, but were killed in a "brief battle", the "Interfax" reports referring to the press centre of the NAC.
The casualties have not been identified yet. At the scene, law enforcers found weapons and ammunition, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
