Advocate: prosecutors at the trial of terror acts in Volgograd fail to prove defendants guilt

According to Said Ibragimov, an advocate of Ibragim Magomedov, under the episode imputed to his client, accused of involvement in preparing the New Year terror acts in Volgograd, his cousin has been already convicted. Investigators did not take testimonies from Khamis Magomedova, Inbragim's sister, despite the fact that she was the owner of the house, where the alleged organizer of the terror acts was killed, Magomedova said herself.

According to the Russia's National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the suicide bombings were committed by Asker Samedov and Suleiman Magomedov, the militants of the "Buynaksk" grouping. On January 29, the cousins Magomednabi and Tagir Batirov were detained in Dagestan. According to investigators, they brought the bombers to Volgograd in a KamAZ truck, hiding them in a haystack.

"Now, the court studies the prosecution's proofs by announcing written testimonies of victims and witnesses – suicide bombers' relatives, who failed to appear at the trial on September 12," said Ibragimov.

Khamis Magomedova doubts the reliability of the facts presented by the prosecution and confirms that she was not questioned by investigators.
