US Prosecutor's Office demands Tsarnaev's presence at trial

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, a native of Chechnya, suspected of involvement in the terror act in Boston, is to appear at the trial, the prosecutor has states.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother Tamerlan, who was killed during the detention, organized the terror act during the Boston Marathon held on April 15, 2013. The explosion killed three persons and injured 282 others.

Public prosecutors demand to sentence Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death penalty, while the defendant pleads not guilty. In July 2014, advocates of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev filed a motion to the court to move the trial out of Boston to ensure objectivity of the trial; however, the motion was dismissed.

According to the earlier court order, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is not obliged to attend court hearings. The defendant willingly used the right and did not attend court hearings in his case for more than a year, the RIA "Novosti" reports on September 18 with reference to the agency "AP".

However, at the court hearing held on September 18, the US Prosecutor's Office filed a motion to bring Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to the next court hearing in the case of the terror act. The victims of the terror act supported the request of the Prosecutor's Office. "I want him to personally meet us and see what he did to us," one of the victims stated as quoted by the "Gazeta.ru" with reference to the "Boston Globe".
