Two persons killed in shootout in Ingushetia

In Ingushetia, a shootout occurred between law enforcers and militants. As a result, a policeman and one of the attackers were killed.

In the Sunday evening, the incident occurred in Zarechnaya Street in Karabulak, when law enforcers tried to stop a car to check the driver's ID, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.

"The persons from the car tried to escape. During the chase, the criminals opened fire from automatic weapons on the police car," stated a source in the MIA's press service.

As a result, a policeman and one of the attackers were killed. The other attackers managed to escape, and the police continue to search for them. The law enforcers found a Kalashnikov submachine gun and a large quantity of ammunition near the killed man, the "Interfax" reports with reference to the source in the MIA.
