Life convict for killing Markelov awarded 18 years for creating extremist community

Nikita Tikhonov, convicted to life imprisonment for the murder of lawyer Stanislav Markelov, was found guilty of organizing an extremist community, six murders and two attempted murders and sentenced to 18 years in prison additionally.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a new criminal case was opened against Tikhonov on creating the extremist community "Combat Organization of Russian Nationalists" (known as BORN). The prosecutor demanded 20 years in prison for Tikhonov.

Judge Andrei Korotkov decided to award Tikhonov with 18 years in prison, the "Interfax" reports.

Let us remind you that Tikhonov's case was considered in special order, that is, without examining the evidence, since he fully admitted his guilt and concluded a pre-trial agreement.
