Maikop: Khadjirokova's advocate complains about non-admittance to her client

At the temporary detention facility (known as IVS) of the city of Maikop, the advocate Lyudmila Alexandrova is not allowed to meet her client – Zarema Khadjirokova, accused of committing a large-scale fraud. Lyudmila herself told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about it.

As reported, on August 4, the Maikop City Court began preliminary hearings in the case of Zarema Khadjirokova, the former chief accountant of the Maikop State Technological University (MSTU). On August 25, Khadjirokova refused from her right to defence and from participation in the trial in protest, believing that the court is under pressure from the authorities of Adygea.

According to Alexandrova, her non-admission to the defendant has to do with the order of a judge of the Maikop City Court. The advocate filed a complaint about the actions of the IVS staff to the Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Adygea.

Let us remind you that on October 5, 2013, Khadjirokova was sentenced to 3.5 years of conditional imprisonment on charges of a large-scale embezzlement. In April 2014, she was again detained at the initiative of the investigator, who had run her first criminal case.

In its turn, the defence argued that the prosecution was far-fetched; and all the operations performed under contracts with economic entities, were performed by Khadjirokova under orders of the Rector of the MSTU and were legitimate.
