KBR's SC finds Biaslan Djaboev's belonging to militants unproved

The Supreme Court (SC) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has found Biaslan Djaboev, who was killed in February 2012, innocent under the incriminated article of "participation in illegal armed formation (IAF)". Under all other indictment points brought against Djaboev, he was found guilty killed, said the advocate Tatiana Psomiadi.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 7, 2012, in a suburb of Nalchik, the capital of KBR, when policemen tried to stop a car, two men were killed. One of them was Biaslan Djaboev, a resident of the village of Belaya Rechka; the other – Azret Temirzhanov from the village of Yanikoy. Djaboev was charged with assault on law enforcers, firearms trafficking and intentional property damage.

The SC of the KBR chaired by Mukhamed Tashuev has been considering Djaboev's case for four months; over 15 witnesses and victims were questioned, said Tatiana Psomiadi.

According to her story, the court found that investigators failed to gather enough evidence of Djaboev's involvement in the armed underground; his guilt was proved under all other indictment points.

Biaslan Djaboev's relatives disagreed with the decision and intend to challenge it.
