Volgograd: rally "For Fair Elections" adopts resolution on violation of their electoral rights

The participants of the today's rally in Volgograd "For Fair Elections" have adopted a resolution on the violation of their electoral rights and collected 200 signatures in support of the ex-candidate for the Regional Duma Natalia Latyshevskaya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to preliminary data of the Regional Election Commission (REC), Natalia Latyshevskaya was the winner in the Tsentralny District of Volgograd, ahead of Gennady Murylyov, the nominee of the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party by six votes. On September 16, a vote recount at two polling stations (Precinct Election Commissions – PECs) Nos. 312 and 315 conducted at the TEC of the Voroshilov District of Volgograd changed the outcome of the vote in favour of Gennady Murylyov.

The today’s rally was organized by Alexei Ulyanov, the chairman of the public organization "Public Independent Inspection".

The protesters held posters: "We are for fair elections! Violate the law – go to prison!", "Bureaucrat, stop thinking about your own interests. It's time to think about people!", "Edinaya Rossiya! You are nothing without Motherland!", "They beat us, but we get stronger. V. V. Putin".

The protest action has adopted a resolution, which states numerous violations of voters' rights during the elections in the territory of the Voroshilov District of Volgograd, in Central Single-Mandate Constituency No. 16 of the Volgograd Region. They plan to send the resolution to the Governor of the Volgograd Region, the Central Election Commission and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.
