UN delegates see no reasons for international help to Ukrainian refugees in Rostov Region

The Rostov Region has organized high-level assistance for temporary migrants from the territory of Ukraine, and refugees are provided with all the necessary things. This was reported by Baisa Vak-Voya, the representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Russia, when he was summing up the results of his three-day visit to the Rostov Region.

On Monday, the UN delegation consisting of three persons has arrived in the Rostov Region to monitor the situation with Ukrainian refugees, the "ITAR-TASS" reports today. Baisa Vak-Voya and his colleagues have visited temporary accommodation centres (TACs) and schools to where refugees' children go.

"The refugees have everything they need: warm shelters for the winter, food, and medical care. Their children go to schools and kindergartens. The regional government cope with the situation without any help of the international community," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the UN representative as reporting.

According to Baisa Vak-Voya, from his conversations with the refugees, he has made a conclusion that almost all of them plan to go back home and wait for the stable truce. The UN representative has noted that at present, the UN does not help Russia in working with the refugees, since this is not necessary; however, the UN is ready to provide assistance when necessary.
