Murmansk resident who complains about long-term slavery in Dagestan goes home
Sergey Khlivnoy, a resident of Murmansk, who was freed from slavery in Dagestan, has safely reached Moscow and left it for home together with his brother. He has filed a complaint to the police about what had happened to him in Dagestan. The man said that in Dagestan, he was kept in chains and often subjected to beatings.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 26, Sergey Khlivnoy, in the Volgograd Region, a 43-year-old resident of Murmansk without ID, was removed by policemen from the bus route "Makhachkala-Moscow". The man argues that he spent the past 18 years in slavery in Dagestan.
The man was found in Kamysh-Kutan by activists of the volunteer movement "Alternative". They were informed of the man kept in slavery by another young man, who, like Sergey Khlivnoy, was kept in slavery by local residents and who managed to escape, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Oleg Melnikov, the leader of the volunteer movement "Alternative".
Alexei Nikitin, a member of the "Alternative", notes that the volunteers found Sergey Khlivnoy in Dagestan in a desperate state.
According to Alexei Nikitin, the brick factory, where Sergey Khlivnoy was forced to work, is located in the suburb of Kaspiisk; and it is still in operation.
