The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Djabrail Nabiev was kidnapped in the morning on October 3 near the bus station of Khasavyurt. According to eyewitnesses, the kidnappers were armed and wore masks.

Nabiev’s father said that his son worked as a dental technician; and on October 3, he had arrived at the bus station aiming to deliver some dentures to his customer in Buynaksk with a shuttle taxi. Djabrail got into his car to call the customer; and at that moment, according to eyewitnesses, his way was blocked off by two cars; and masked men jumped out of them.

"According to eyewitnesses, he tried to drive off and hit the shuttle taxi that was behind. They dragged him out of the car in front of the passengers of this taxi. Djabrail called for help but nobody reacted," said Magomednabi Nabiev.
