High-ranking investigator detained in Stavropol Territory on suspicion of bribe-taking
Agents of the regional FSB department have detained Ramil Rizvanov, the head of the Neftekumsk Inter-District Division of the Investigating Department for the Stavropol Territory of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). He is suspected of taking an especially large bribe.
So far, no circumstances of Rizvanov's detention have been revealed by law enforcement authorities; it is known only that he was detained on October 1 in the city of Budyonnovsk.
On October 3, the "GTRK-Stavropolye" reported citing a source in the territorial FSB department that Ramil Rizvanov was detained red-handed when receiving two million roubles.
So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments from Ravil Rizvanov, his legal representatives or officials of the ICRF on the fact of detention.
Let us note here that the offence of an especially large bribe-taking (Part 6, Article 290, of the Russian Criminal Code) entails up to 15 years in prison and a fine some 80-100 times exceeding the amount of the bribe.
