Dagestan: three suspected militants killed in shootout with law enforcers

In the village of Kirovaul of the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, unidentified persons fired at law enforcers, who opened fire in response. According to the preliminary information, two law enforcers and one of the attackers were killed.

The law enforcers were conducting targeted checks in the village, when fire was opened on them from one of the houses. One of the attackers was killed by return fire, the "Interfax" reports.

"According to the preliminary information, two law enforcers perished, and one militant was killed," stated a source from the law enforcement bodies of the Kizilyurt District, as quoted by the "ITAR-TASS".

Until present, the suspected killed militant has not been identified. According to the preliminary information, two fighters of the mobile group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were killed in the shootout, the RIA "Dagestan" reports with reference to the source.
