Two persons killed in the special operation conducted in the Baksan District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) have been identified as Zaurbiy Orshedugov and Nurabi Tlepshev, members of the armed underground. This was announced by an official from the law enforcement bodies of Kabardino-Balkaria. The National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) of Russia has confirmed the preliminary identification with regard to Zaurbiy Orshedugov only.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on Sunday, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the Baksan District of the KBR. In the course of the special operation on the outskirts of the village of Psykhurei, two persons were killed.

"The killed men have been already identified: one of them was Zaurbiy Orshedugov, born in 1984, and the second one was Nurabi Tlepshev. Both of them were members of the armed underground," the "Interfax" quotes the law enforcer as stating.

According to the NAC, the killed men were members of "the armed underground, a part of the banned international terrorist organization 'Imarat Kavkaz'". "When offered to lay down arms and surrender, militants opened fire on law enforcers and used grenades," the NAC has reported as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".

It should be added that today, the CTO regime has also been introduced in part of the territory of the Kirov District of the Stavropol Territory on the border with the KBR, and it was lifted at 2:00 p.m. Moscow time.
