HRC "Memorial": relatives of kidnapped Ramazanov receive no law enforcers' answer

Till present, Zarkipli Ramazanov, who disappeared on September 16, has not yet been found. His family members have filed to the leader of Dagestan and the law enforcement bodies a complaint about his kidnapping; however, they did not receive any response neither from the administration of the Dagestani leader nor from the law enforcement bodies, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" reports.

Musanip Ramazanov, a resident of Makhachkala, has filed a complaint about the disappearance of his son. According to him, Zarkipli Ramazanov was kidnapped and kept by the law enforcement bodies. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed by the Makhachkala GUVD (City Interior Department) that Zarkipli Ramazanov is not mentioned in the list of detainees.

According to the parents of the young man, they have filed a complaint to the ROVD for the Kirov District of Makhachkala immediately after their son was kidnapped by armed men in masks. Later, Rukizhat Ramazanova, the mother of the disappeared man, filed a complaint to the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan, the Dagestani FSB Department, and the leader of Dagestan. Till present, the woman has not received any response, the HRC "Memorial" reports.

According to Rukizhat Ramazanova, she was told by the investigator that they allegedly got the information that Zarkipli was going to leave for Syria.

Rukizhat Ramazanova believes that her son was subjected to operational search of law enforcers and that no forcers but them could kidnap Zarkipli. The woman claims that her son has always been a law-abiding citizen, a practicing Muslim. According to Rukizhat Ramazanova, Zarkipli worked as a guard and could not commit anything illegal.
