Persons killed in Psykhurei village in KBR were strangers, local residents assert

In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), residents of the village of Psykhurei, Baksan District, have held a gathering and declared the inadmissibility of desecration of the local cemetery, where two suspected members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) were killed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 5, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the Baksan District. In the CTO zone, on the outskirts of the village of Psykhurei, two persons were killed. They were identified as Zaurbek Orshedugov and Nurabi Tlepshev.

The killed men built a dug-out at the cemetery and lived among the tombs, and that fact caused indignation of local residents. The villagers have also claimed that the killed men could have accomplices, since none of them lived in the village of Psykhurei.

According to the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the men killed in Psykhurei were members of a militant grouping, which was a part of the international banned terrorist organization "Imarat Kavkaz". After the special operation was completed, the CTO regime in the village of Psykhurei was lifted.
