Advocate Shaisipova: Vitishko will be transferred to general-security colony for three reprimands
In the Tambov Region, Evgeny Vitishko, a convicted ecologist from Krasnodar, will be transferred from his colony-settlement to a general-security colony for his admitted violations of the regime, said his advocate Valentina Shaisipova.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported the information about the preparation of Vitishko's transfer to the general-security colony, received from Andrei Rudomakha, the coordinator of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch).
Shaisipova said that lately Vitishko received three reprimands from the colony personnel. According to her story, the first one was for keeping foodstuffs in a wrong place, although the colony employees had repeatedly denied ecologist's requests to give him a cabinet for storing foodstuffs. The second reprimand was granted for an alleged Vitishko's failure to greet the colony boss; however, the ecologist denies the fact. The third reprimand was passed for alleged "swearing" at some woman.
The reprimands are far-fetched, said the advocate, while the true reason of the transfer is in the personnel's hostility to the convict, who is active and knows the laws.
Initially, the information about Vitishko's transfer was made available to Evgenia Chirikova, an ecologist and the leader of the movement "In Defence of Khimki Forest", who had learnt the news from Tambov-based rights defenders. She believes that the personnel of the colony-settlement want to get rid of Vitishko, who is engaged in human rights activities in the colony.
At the moment, it is not known exactly where Vitishko is kept – according to his advocates, they cannot contact him since October 2.
