Relatives of Islamic preacher Nadir Abu Khalid report his house was searched

Relatives of Islamic preacher Abu Khalid Nadir, who was detained in the capital of Dagestan on suspicion of arms trafficking, reported in a search conducted in his household. Besides, law enforcers also carried out a search in the office of the website "Salyaf.ru", which posted video records of the lectures given by the Islamic preacher. This was reported by members of the Muslim community.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 8, according to eyewitnesses, Nadir Abu Khalid (Medetov), a well-known religious leader, was detained by law enforcers. In the evening, the Islamic preacher was found in the Kirov ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala, the detainee's family members report. They have claimed that "two pistols were planted" to Nadir Abu Khalid and his blood brother Kadir Medetov, who visited him in his house.

According to the updated information, reported by the advocate of the Islamic preacher, Nadir Abu Khalid is charged with illegal possession of a pistol, although earlier, the source had reported on two pistols.

By the evening of October 8, relatives of the religious leader and members of the Muslim community gathered in front of the Kirov ROVD, the approaches to which were cordoned off by the police. Later, some people went to the house of the religious leader, which, according to them, was searched.

A member of the Muslim community has reported that during the search, law enforcers seized a PC and other electronic information carriers.
