ICRF: investigation into Eradil Asanov's murder will take up to 30 days

Until present, no criminal case has been instituted on the fact of the murder of Eradil Asanov, a resident of Dagestan, who was shot dead on October 6 in the ROVD (District Interior Division) of the village of Terekli-Mekteb. According to an official from the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the period of the initial investigation into the circumstances of the murder may last for up to 30 days.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 6, 22-year-old Eradil Asanov was shot dead at the ROVD located in the village of Terekli-Mekteb. According to the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), a staff member of the ROVD had to use his service weapon after the young man, who was detained on suspicion of murder, attacked him with a knife. According to family members of the deceased man, Eradil Asanov got a gunshot wound when law enforcers demanded from him to confess of the crimes he never committed.

On October 8, at ROVD of the Nogai District of Dagestan located in the village of Terekli-Mekteb, people held a protest action, demanding to punish the persons responsible for the death of Eradil Asanov. Akhmed Bataliev, the Deputy Interior Minister of Dagestan, has made public the name of the policeman, who shot and killed Eradil Asanov and promised to investigate the incident.
