KBR: Psykhurei villagers adopt resolution against desecration of cemeteries
At the gathering of residents of the village of Psykhurei of the Baksan District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), people were discussing events related to the special operation conducted at the local cemetery, during which Zaurbek Orshokdugov and Nurabi Tlepshev were killed. The villagers have adopted a resolution against the desecration of cemeteries.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 5, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the Baksan District of the KBR. Two men were killed on the outskirts of the village of Psykhurei. Later, they were identified as Zaurbek Orshedugov and Nurabi Tlepshev.
According to the villagers, the suspected militants arranged a dug-out by digging a hole among the graves in the old part of the cemetery, hardly visited by anyone. When it became known that the special operation is to be conducted at the cemetery, the villagers felt anxious and appealed to the law enforcer, asking them not to destroy the cemetery.
Khasan Sizhazhev, the head of the Baksan District Administration and a native of the village of Psykhurei, has noted that the local residents need to pay more attention to young people and to their children to prevent their involvement in a range of followers of radical ideas.
When addressing the local imam, the head of the Baksan District has urged him "to work with people and not to limit the activities to duty events."
Khasan Sizhazhev has also promised that the regional authorities will do everything in their power to organize youth leisure in the village of Psykhurei and restore the activities of the local Palace of Culture.
