Patimat Nasibova detained in Dagestan is charged with involvement in IAF

Patimat Nasibova, a resident of the village of Kirovaul of the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, who was detained as a result of a special operation, is suspected of aiding and abetting members of an illegal armed formation (IAF). This was reported by an advocate of Patimat Nasibova, who was able to visit his client at the IVS No. 1 (temporary detention facility) of Makhachkala.

On Friday, the advocate has managed to find out that the case against Patimat Nasibova is being considered by the Third Division for especially important cases of the Investigating Department (ID) for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by advocate Elena Denisenko.

"My client has told me that at the police station, she was subjected to torture: policemen connected wires and switched on electric current. She fainted several times," the advocate has said.

According to Elena Denisenko, on October 6-8, all investigative activities with Patimat Nasibova were conducted in the absence of the advocate. The detainee said that as a result, she had signed a lot of papers.

"The law enforcers demanded from Patimat Nasibova to confess that Alidibir Asludinov, a suspected militant, killed in Kizilyurt, was her husband and that she gave him shelter," the advocate has stated.

The Soviet District Court of Makhachkala has ruled to restrict Patimat Nasibova's freedom by a two-month arrest.
