In Dagestan, residents of Nogai District decide to control investigation into Eradil Asanov's death

In Dagestan, residents of the Nogai District have established the Coordinating Council to control the investigation into the case on the death of Eradil Asanov. This was reported by Rustam Adilgereev, a relative of Eradil Asanov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Police Lieutenant Colonel, the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan, is suspected of abuse of power that led to the death of the 22-year-old young man at the ROVD (District Interior Division) for the Nogai District. A criminal case was instituted against the Police Lieutenant Colonel on charge of abuse of power.

On October 6, 22-year-old Eradil Asanov was shot dead at the ROVD located in the village of Terekli-Mekteb. According to family members of the deceased young man, Eradil Asanov got a gunshot wound, when law enforcers demanded from him to confess to crimes he never committed.

According to Rustam Adilgereev, on October 9, residents the Nogai District hold a protest action at the stadium of the village of Terekli-Mekteb. The protest action was attended by about 500 people, who demanded to punish the persons responsible for the death of Eradil Asanov, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Rustam Adilgereev.
