Militaries of the SMD, who were at exercises, leave Rostov Region

The formations and units of the Southern Military District (SMD), who have completed their exercises in the Rostov Region, are returning to places of their permanent deployment.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in late July the Ukrainian party accused the Russian Federation of building up its troops on the border; and before that, the USA stated that Russia was transferring its armaments to Ukraine.

"The military formations and units of the SMD, which have completed their pre-planned combat training at shooting-ranges and inter-army training centres in the Rostov Region, and which have passed the final inspection after the summer training period, began returning to places of their permanent deployment," the RIA "Novosti" quoted, in the afternoon on October 12, the press service of the Russia's Ministry of Defence (MoD).

In their turn, the US authorities refused to comment on the information about the withdrawal of Russian troops away from the Ukrainian border. "We continue calling on Russia to fulfil its obligations in accordance with the Minsk agreements," - said the White House spokesperson as quoted by the "Gazeta.ru".
