Tbilisi: "Free Generation" activists demand to ban UNM

In the capital of Georgia, activists of the movement "Free Generation" have held a rally at the central office of the "United National Movement" (UNM) with a demand to ban this oppositional party.

Apart from the ban of the UNM, this party must be brought to justice, Lado Sadgobelashvili, the spokesman of the "Free Generation", told reporters. Activists came to the rally with posters reading: "Ban the UNM!", "Revenge has failed!" and others. According to activists, the rally was planned to be peaceful.

The members of the "Free Generation" also believe that the UNM, the former ruling party, has to do with the recent kidnapping in Georgia of a young man, and that the aim of the UNM is to aggravate the crime situation in the country, the "News-Georgia" reports.
