In Dagestan, residents of Vremenny report fires in their blocked settlement

According to locals, today, some 5-6 fires occurred in the blocked settlement of Vremenny.

A local woman, named Khadizhat, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the fires could be seen from the neighbouring village of Gimry.

"Not houses were on fire. If anything large was burning, it would become immediately clear. According to our sources, power agents burned down the heaps of furniture," said the woman.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 18, residents of Vremenny adjacent to the village of Gimry reported that their village was cordoned off by law enforcers. Besides, the villagers also reported that the law enforcers were going around households and were taking men away for identification. On September 28, the villagers were offered to leave their houses. According to the villagers, the school and the kindergarten in the village do not operate, and the law enforcers are destroying the farm buildings.

Residents of Vremenny report that they still cannot get into the settlement to check the state of their property.

"We're all sitting here, taking anti-anxiety drugs, trying to imagine what is happening in Vremenny. Every witness' story about the looting that takes place there is driving people to nervous breakdowns. The worst of all is that we are in an information blockade - we called to several Russian TV Channels, told about the problem, but no one has ever called back. Our problems and our pains are not interesting to anyone," another woman from Vremenny, who asked not to name her, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Today, the residents who were forced to leave their settlement have appealed for help to the Charity Fund "Pure Heart", stating the lack of food, hygiene items and clothes.
