In Grozny, law enforcers search for suspected suicide bomber
In Chechnya, local law enforcement bodies are actively searching for a 33-year-old native of Grozny, who, according to law enforcers, plans to use a shahid belt to commit a suicide bombing. In Grozny, power agents have disseminated leaflets with a photo of the wanted man. Local residents feel nervous about the new information about a possible terror act.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 5, a suicide bombing was committed in Grozny. As a result, according to the official information, five policemen were killed, and 13 other law enforcers were brought to hospital. Investigating authorities of Chechnya have pre-established the organizers of the explosion in Grozny and now are searching for them.
"The law enforcement authorities have received information from the operative sources that Aslan Aliskhanov, born in 1981, an active member of illegal armed formations (IAFs) put on the federal wanted list, plans to use a shahid belt to commit a suicide bombing. Therefore, law enforcers take all the necessary measures to detect the possible whereabouts, detain or neutralize a potential terrorist," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by a source from the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
According to the source, the information about the militant is handed over to all the police stations and other law enforcement bodies. "The information about the terrorist is posted in the most crowded places in Grozny to ensure that in case of detection of Aslan Aliskhanov, city residents can quickly report it to the police," the policeman has noted.
