NAC: militants killed in Derbent planned terror act
Today, a five-storey dwelling block in Sovietskaya Street of Derbent was blocked, since, according to power agents, two members of the "Yuzhdag" grouping of militants were hiding in a flat there. They refused to surrender and were killed. Another suspected militant was killed in another house, said a law enforcement source.
The killed persons have been pre-identified as Nariman Askerov, Kurbanmagomed Kurbanov and Elshan Salikhov, said the spokesman for the Russian National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC).
According to the NAC, they were planning to commit a terror act and then to leave to fight in Syria.
Askerov, Kurbanov and Salikhov lived in Derbent, and, according to the NAC, had been involved in terrorist crimes and attacks on law enforcers, the "Kommersant" writes referring to the NAC source.
In his turn, a source from the headquarters of the counterterrorist operation said that the casualties f the special operation in Derbent were Nariman and Elshen Salikhov and Magomed Ramazanov, the "Moskovsky Komsomolets" has reported.
