DPS unit shelled in Nalchik: two killed and one wounded
Tonight in Nalchik, when trying to inspect a car, a unit of the road-and-post service (known as DPS) was attacked, resulting in two lost and one wounded policemen; one of the attackers was killed by return fire, said a source from law enforcement bodies of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR).
"DPS inspectors stopped a Honda for inspection. Suddenly, unidentified persons opened fire from inside the car," said a local law enforcement source.
As a result, one DPS inspector was killed, and another one was wounded, the "Interfax" reports.
According to the source, one of the attackers was killed by return fire; three others managed to escape.
Currently, law enforcers are searching for the attackers.
