Mothers of large families from Volgograd Region hold picket in Moscow

On October 28, mothers of large families from the Volgograd Region held a picket in Moscow. The protestors demand from the authorities to fulfil social obligations of the state.

According to Nadezhda Kireeva, one of the picketers, the action was initially held in front of the reception hall of the Russian President in Ilyinka Street. Then, the picketers continued their protest action in front of the reception hall of the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party in the Pereyaslavl Lane. At both places, the picketers handed over their appeals to staff members of the reception halls.

"We were holding a poster with the slogan reading: 'Mothers of Volgograd ask for help.' Everything went smoothly without incidents, and the police did not detain us," Nadezhda Kireeva has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the activist, the protest action involved three women, and they came to solo pickets to replace each other.

Meanwhile, Nadezhda Kireeva has expressed her scepticism concerning the possibility to solve the problems of mothers of large families through picketing. "This is not the first time when we hand over our appeals. So far, there are no results. We want to be at least noticed," the woman has stated.

According to Nadezhda Kireeva, the mothers of large families will continue their attempts to attract the authorities' attention by picketing the public institutions and may be federal TV Channels.
