At night of October 21, at the Vnukovo Airport, during take-off, a Falcon-50EX private jet collided with snow removal machine and burned. The private jet was to depart to Paris. As a result of the plane crash, three crew members and the only passenger Christophe de Margerie, President of the French oil company "Total", were killed.

On October 29, being under house arrest, air traffic controller-trainee Svetlana Krivsun, was charged with an offense under Part 3 of Article 263 (violation of safety rules and operation of aircraft, resulting in deaths of two or more persons) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
