Ingushetia cancels celebration events for jubilee of its first President Ruslan Aushev

Ingushetia has cancelled the celebrations in connection with the 60th birthday of Ruslan Aushev, the first President of Ingushetia, at his request. This was reported by Shamsudin Bokov, the Press Secretary of the leader of Ingushetia.

"On the eve of the celebration events, the secretariat of the Ingush leader received a telegram  signed by Ruslan Aushev, in which he addressed Yunus-Bek Evkurov personally and asked him not to carry out in Ingushetia any celebration events related to his birthday," Shamsudin Bokov has said.

"I thank you for your attention to me. However, I address you personally and ask you as the Head of the Republic of Ingushetia to consider my request and not to carry out any events. And I ask you to direct all the funds allocated for the celebration purposes to the solution of social problems of citizens of the Republic of Ingushetia," Ruslan Aushev wrote in his telegram to Yunus-Bek Evkurov.

To meet the request expressed by Ruslan Aushev, the Ingush leader has instructed the government to cancel all the planned event, a source has noted.

"The name of Ruslan Aushev entered the history of the Republic of Ingushetia. He was the first leader, and he founded the city of Magas, a capital of the republic, and he made a lot of good for Ingushetia. Residents of the republic remember his achievements, and they express their very positive attitude towards Ruslan Sultanovich," Shamsudin Bokov has concluded.
