Volgograd mothers of large families see no reaction to their pickets in Moscow

Mothers of large families from the Volgograd Region held a series of solo pickets in Moscow. They demanded to fulfil social obligations of the state to them. According to the picketers, the authorities have hardly responded to their protest actions.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 28, the mothers of large families from the Volgograd Region held pickets in Moscow, in front of the reception halls of the Russian President and of the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party.

On October 29 and 30, the women continued their protest action. On October 29, they picketed the "Ostankino" TV Centre. The women succeeded each other at the solo pickets, and they were holding in their hands a poster reading: "In the Volgograd Region, large families face genocide." On October 30, the mothers of large families came to the administration of the Russian President.

Nadezhda Kireeva, a picketer, has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the authorities have hardly responded to the picket. "Only when we were standing in front of the Presidential administration, a staff member of the reception hall came out to us. He has said that we should file complaints and that they will send them for consideration to the Volgograd Region, that is, to the local authorities against that we complained," Nadezhda Kireeva has said.
