Mother of many children from Volgograd detained in Moscow during a solo picket
Today, Nadezhda Kireeva, a mother of many children from Volgograd, was detained in Moscow during a solo picket, Kireeva herself has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the mothers of large families from the Volgograd Region have been holding pickets in Moscow starting from October 28.
"Today, after a picket at the State Duma, we went to the Red Square, where I stood at the Lenin Mausoleum in a picket; and I was detained by policemen," Kireeva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "I was taken to the police station 'Kitai-Gorod' (ChinaTown); they drew up a protocol there about an offense under Part 5, Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences (violation by a participant of a public event of the established order of picketing)."
According to her story, she was released pending a trial, which will take place on November 17. "Tomorrow, on November 1, we'll go to the reception office of Russian President, leave a letter there, and go home. In Volgograd, at the Governor's administration, we'll again seek appointment," the mother has explained.
Let us note here that should Nadezhda Kireeva's guilt is proved, she may face a penalty of 10 to 20 thousand roubles or compulsory works for a period of up to forty hours.
