Ambulance called to Karaman hunger-strikers
Today, at about 12:00 a.m. Moscow time, the health condition of two hunger-strikers in Karaman got aggravated. The arriving ambulance doctors rendered the first aid to them.
"We called an ambulance. Doctors examined them and diagnosed high arterial tension and reduced blood sugar. They injected Capoten, took their phone numbers, and said they would monitor their condition and keep it under control," Gamzat Khangishiev, a public figure of Karaman and the Co-Chair of the Presidium of the Russian Congress of Caucasian Nations, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning of November 10, five residents of the Tarki villages declared a hunger strike demanding to restore the Tarki District and include in it the Karaman territory and the mountain of Tarki-Tau.
According to Gamzat Khangishiev, the seventh participant of the protest action – Bulat Bulatov from the settlement of Alburikent – has joined the hunger-strikers today.
Mr Khangishiev has emphasized that none of the officials had ever called the hunger-striking Tarki residents, or visited them. "They call me all the time, but none of them has ever said anything official or just anything noteworthy," said Gamzat Khangishiev.
