In Makhachkala, head of "Flowers of Life" Centre reports policemen tried to disrupt the opening ceremony
Today, Madina Magomedova, the head of the "Flowers of Life" Children’s Care Centre in Makhachkala, has stated about the pressure of law enforcement bodies and illegal actions of power agents, who tried to disrupt the opening of the Centre.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 6 in Makhachkala the work of the kindergarten "Happy Baby" was suspended. Its employees then reported that the reason was in hijabs worn by the women who worked in the children’s facility. On November 10, policemen attempted to close the Children's Centre "Zabota” (Care).
Madina Magomedova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that today agents from the Sovietskiy ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala tried to prevent the opening of the Children’s Care Centre named "Flowers of Life", where she is the head.
"We’ve organized the Centre in a private household; the documents were checked by the municipality; and they found no obstacles to the functioning of the Centre. However, today, when parents and children tried to get into the Centre, the way was blocked by a woman-employee of the division for minors’ matters, who tried to push children out of the yard, citing that her boss did not allow us to start working. The actions of the police were neither duly motivated nor fixed procedurally; thus, they were actually illegal," said Madina Magomedova.
She added that employees of the Centre filmed the incident to a video camera and “received threats from policemen.”
