Dagestan: residents of Vremenny demand from authorities to resettle them elsewhere

Residents of the settlement of Vremenny demand from the authorities of Dagestan to set up a commission for evaluating the damage caused to them during the special operation. According to their stories, the recent situation in the settlement is calm, but many of them do not want to return and ask the authorities to help them in moving to some other residence.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 18, residents of Vremenny adjacent to the village of Gimry reported that law enforcers cordoned off their village and were taking men away for identification. On September 28, the villagers were offered to leave their houses; however, they refused.

Patimat M., a resident of the settlement, said that on November 10, when villagers had a meeting with Magomedgadji Zainulabidov, the representative of the head of Dagestan in the Highland Territorial District of Dagestan, they spoke of the need to provide security guarantees to local residents.

She noted that Zainulabidov promised only to organize a tent camp for refugees from the settlement.

Aminat Magomedova, another resident of the settlement, said that last week they received charitable aid in the form of warm clothes and foodstuffs from two funds – "Nadezhda" (Hope) and the "Women's Commonwealth" headed by Patimat Gelichova.

According to her story, local residents wrote appeals to a plurality of instances – from the head of Dagestan up to the President of Russia.
