On November 10-16, one person perished in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week from November 10 to November 16, 2014, the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus took away one human life; no information about wounded or injured persons was received. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot", based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

According to law enforcement sources, the casualty had been involved in the activities of the armed underground in Dagestan.

Special and counterterrorist operations

On November 9, the counterterrorist (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the village of Djuli, Tabasaran District of Dagestan. One of the members of the armed underground was killed in the course of the CTO; he was pre-identified as Ruslan Makhramov, born in 1993. His three relatives were detained, but soon released on November 10. On the same day, the CTO regime was lifted in the village of Julie, as well as in the Shamil District.

Detentions

On November 10 at night at the checkpoint named "Airport", located on the highway Kaspiisk-Airport, a car was checked driven by a 24-year resident of the village of Murguk, Sergokalin District of Dagestan. The check resulted in detecting and confiscation of a pistol and 50 cartridges.

On November 12, a resident of the capital of Dagestan was detained under suspicion of helping one of the suspected militants killed on August 5. According to investigators, the detainee provided the transportation services to the slain militant during the latter's whole period of participation in the armed underground, that is, from April to August 2014.
