NKR states that Azerbaijan is constantly shelling the area of helicopter crash

As reported by the Ministry of Defence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the venue of the recent crash of the Mi-24 helicopter is under constant fire of Azerbaijani militaries; therefore, the Karabakh party cannot get there and find out the fate of three members of the crew.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the above a military helicopter was shot down in the contact zone of the Karabakh conflict on November 12.

The Karabakh party refrains from response fire and respects the ceasefire in the conflict zone, said Senor Asratyan, the head of the press service of the NKR's MoD.

In his turn, Etery Musaelyan, an employee of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), said that the mission continues negotiating about the access to the crash site and evacuation of the helicopter crew.

According to the MoD of Azerbaijan, all three members of the crew had perished.

Let us remind you that on November 18 the OSCE mission held monitoring of the contact of the NKR's and Azeri troops near the village of Merzili, Agdam District, but they did not visit the helicopter crash site.
