In Makhachkala, Tarki residents decide to settle conflict within their community
The conflict of the leaders of community councils of Tarki villages with supporters of Nabiyula Karachaev that burst out during a meeting in Makhachkala Mayoralty will be settled within the Tarki Jamaat, Gamzat Khangishiev, a public figure of Karaman, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 20 a meeting of Karaman activists and officials of Makhachkala administration ended in a brawl, during which Magomedamin Magomedov, the leader of the public council of the village of Tarki, was injured. The conflict in the Mayoralty occurred because of a dispute of Karaman activists with Nabiyula Karachaev, the Minister of Natural Resources of Dagestan, who demanded from the protesters to stop the hunger strike and leave Karaman.
After the incident in the Mayoralty, a meeting was held by the youth and activists of the villages of Tarki, Kyakhulay and Alburikent, where about 300 people were present, said Gamzat Khangishiev.
He noted that emotions "should not affect our position and activities." "It is an inter-Jamaat dispute; and it will be settled within the Jamaat in our traditional ways. Magomedamin Magomedov said that he would not apply to the police," said Khangishiev, stressing that "the event at the Mayoralty will not affect the course of action in Karaman." "The hunger strike continues; and the health condition of the protesters is normal," he said.
