NKR's Defence Army denies any attitude to death of Azerbaijani soldier
The Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has nothing to do with the death of the Azerbaijani soldier on the frontline, said Senor Asratyan, the press secretary of the Defence Army.
On November 20, a result of a ceasefire violation and a shootout at the contact line in the area of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Rustam Azizov, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, was killed when at his on duty service.
In general, according to Asratyan, the situation on the contact line of Armenian and Azerbaijani troops remains tense; and ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces continue. Because of this, the Armenian party is unable to visit the crash site of the helicopter that was downed by Azerbaijani militaries, the "Radio Azatutyun" reports with reference to the above press secretary.
The soldier-casualty on November 20 was not the first victim of the aggravated situation on the contact line of Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops. Three crew members perished in the crash of the above helicopter.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that on October 1, at the frontline, according to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the NKR, a soldier of the Karabakh Defence Army was killed.
