KChR establishes social service "Home Nurse" for children with disabilities
The Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR) launches a new social service to provide rehabilitation services to children with disabilities. The new service is to be provided as a part of the project "I can. Help me!" 40 families will benefit from the service "Home Nurse". This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Mariya Alakaeva, an expert of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development.
"In accordance with the essence of the service, experts visit a family with a growing child with limited mobility and carry out a rehabilitation complex. Meanwhile, child's parents will have a chance to use this time to solve some problems, since earlier they could hardly do that because they had to care for their child. At first, families reacted to the service with a sort of alert; however, then, they established more frequent contacts with the experts," Mariya Alakaeva has said.
The "I can do. Help me!" has received financial support from the Foundation to support children in difficult situations. The aim of the project is to provide social support for families with disabled children to ensure the highest possible development of children under conditions of family education and socialization.
