Dagestan: rights defender Svetlana Isaeva complains of power agents' pressure

Today, Svetlana Isaeva, the head of the "Mothers of Dagestan for Human Rights", said that she is pressed by law enforcement officials. She associated the power agents' pressure with her participation in the trial of Imangazali Magomedov.

According to her story, law enforcers came to her home, stating that they need to question her.

Svetlana Isaeva said that she is "afraid of further power agents' attempts to put pressure on her." "I can't say about any specific reasons of the pressure, but I can link it with the overall activities of the human rights organization. Last week, we took part in the trial of Imangazali Magomedov, whom we visited in SIZO at the request of his advocate Elena Denisenko," said Isaeva.
